WANTED: UNDISCOVERED MOVIEMAKING TALENT

WHEN: July 10-19, 2006

WHO: Anyone with a passion for creativity in the media arts field who wants to see their ideas and concepts (or image) get to the screen without further delay.

WHY: Because (A) A full-immersion experience like this one will break the ice on your hoped-for moviemaking dream. YOU will be part of the decision-making process as a co-writer/co-director, also giving input to the edit (w/Final Cut Pro 5), maybe even appearing on-screen as an actor. (B) YOU will be listed in the credits as a “writer/director”, as well as under “a DV by” , (also an equal co-owner of gross points) which accords you the opportunity to fly to a film festival where your collaborative movie is showing, possibly deducting the cost of the trip/lodging/food as a business expense (please consult your tax advisor to insure this applies to your particular situation). (C) YOU will have a good chance of appearing as an actor on-screen in some capacity, if that is your primary dream (please let us know!). (D) LIFE is short and this helps you become part of the history of the Santa Fe moviemaking explosion. By working together YOU will make life-long friendships in the local artistic community, at thee same time creating a quality work (see website for previous FW features: www.lightvideo.com).

HOW: E-mail Rick Schmidt (lightvideo@aol.com) author of Feature Filmmaking at Used-Car Prices & Extreme DV (Penguin Books) and writer/director of 20+ features*, or co-producer Todd McCall (TMccall@hannasd.org), requesting an immediate application/interview to join this production. COST: $3500.
