ABOUT MOVIATE and VENUE INFORMATION
Moviate is a volunteer operated, not for profit organization, dedicated to bringing independent, underground, and avant-garde Cinema and Sound events to the Harrisburg area.
Core Moviate Members include: Tara Chickey, Josh Drake, James Hollenbaugh, Jeremy Moss, Michael Robinson, and Caleb Smith.

A $5 to $8 donation at the door goes directly to the in-person filmmaker or cover film rental costs.

All proceeds from any Moviate or MoviateSound events benefit visiting filmmakers and visiting musicians, and any upcoming Moviate Film Camp (which allows at-risk youth the opportunity to make their own films.( Funds are used for film, film transfer services, computer and video equipment, and guest artists. Moviate is run on a completely volunteer basis, and volunteers are always welcome to help in any way. Moviate is a non-profit film organization under the fiscal sponsorship of Berks Filmmakers, Inc. one of the longest operating independent film cooperatives in the United States.
